1. Inspect your roof in the late fall and early spring. If you see any of these signs of wear, membrane pulled back, open seams, cracks in corners, cracked skylights, holes in membrane, deteoriated caulking call a professional contractor for a more thorough inspection. Remove any debris or sharp objects that may be loose on the roof.
2. Keep drains, scuppers, gutters and downspouts clean and free of leaves, sticks and other debris.
3. Keep trees trimmed away from building.
4. Minimize foot traffic on the roof. If it is necessary ensure established walkways are followed.
